Starting at bottom left going clockwise we have Jacobs Cattle, Molasses Face, Taylor Horticultural, Vermont Cranberry, Orca/Calypso, Canadian Wild Goose and Mennonite K Triple A.

I'm very grateful for my past career with Manitoba's watershed districts. It has made me very passionate about regenerative agricultural practices. We aim to implement as many here at Hemphill Seeds as we can.
I've been experimenting with seed mixes and hope in the future to offer a mix that is perfect for gardeners who have high clay soils and are looking to better manage weeds.

Honey Drop Tomatoes. Beautiful, delicious, and so abundant ❤️🧡💛

One of my favorite crops to grow is Flax. It grows into a sea of beautiful flowers and is great for microgreen seed or adding straight to smoothies.
Next are photos of mixed zinnias and bulls blood beets.

This variety of yellow peas requires zero trellis, they climb themselves. It's a great crop for microgreen seed.

July in the garden 💚 we're busy analyzing all of the crops performance on our Red River soil. Only the best will be offered on our website come fall/winter.

Cocozelle zucchini, shallots, zinnia, large seeded tall sunflowers and black chickpeas!

After that is Red Sun carrots, Common Yarrow, Thai Basil, Cocozelle Zucchini, Garlic, Caragana and some onions.

Big things happening in the main garden! Extended it by more then double and tilled up a space for a new orchard beside the pond.

Garlic & Rhubarb are up! It will be a few months until we are offering fresh garlic. But, bins went over the Rhubarb to help force it. Forcing Rhubarb produces tender, sweet & colorful stems. Attached is a photo from a harvest in 2024.

This weekend construction started on a pad for our new greenhouse. Hoping to have the greenhouse up shortly because I am running out of space in my plant room and I have hundreds of tomatoes that need potting-up.

Hi 👋 we are Hemphill Seeds, a small family run farm in Letellier MB. Last weekend we went to our first Seedy Saturday in Winkler where we handed out the first batch of seed packs we have prepared.

We are hard at work seeding many different varieties of vegetables, flowers and native plants to provide produce & seed this summer/fall. Soon, I will make a post introducing the folk behind H.S. so stay tuned for that and our website should be active shortly. Thanks for following along this journey with us! We are so excited.

Hemphill Seeds was started in 2025, aiming to offer unique heirloom vegetable seeds and fresh organic produce. Although Hemphill Seeds is not certified organic, both indoor and outdoor crops offered have been produced using organic inputs and zero sprays.

We hope to be able to offer a wide variety of seeds, seedlings, and produce to our community.

We started this company to improve access to unique varieties, as well as provide the highest quality produce at an affordable price point. Investing in local economies is more important now than ever, and we make considerable effort to support and collaborate with other local businesses.
