This squash has become a Hemphill Seed's favourite. It produces the traditional delicious delicata squash but instead of growing on long tangled vines, it grows similar to a zucchini plant. They can be staked and grown vertically, making them ideal for smaller gardens.
Delicata is smooth and sweet when roasted and the rind is tender enough when cooked to eat. It is a productive plant and the squash store well. The bush variety was bred and selected by Molly John and George Moriarty of Cornell University. 15+ seeds per pack.
