Sow seeds 1/2" deep in a seed starting mix. Bottom heat is recommended for germination. Keep the soil most until the seeds sprout and then thin basil (thinned plants can be replanted if done early enough).
Once chance of frost has passed, plant them outdoors in a sunny area. Pinch the tips to encourage bushy growth. If the pink flower buds start to develop, pinch off to extend harvest.
