Dark green zucchini is an easy to grow, high yielding and versatile squash. It has a creamy white flesh that is great for baking, eating raw or sauteed. My personal favorite is zoodles (zucchini noodles).

Seed directly into the garden once all risk of frost has passed. Cover seed with 2.5cm (1") of soil. Water the seeds in and keep the soil mosit until germination. Recommended plant spacing is 1.5-1.8m (5-6').
These seed can also be started indoors for a faster harvest. Seed them 3-4 weeks before your last frost. Harden your seedlings off before transplanting into the garden after all danger of frost is gone.
If you are low on space, plants can be grown vertically in a tomato cage/trellis.
